Dimensions are seeking Support Workers to empower the independence of two gentlemen we support to at their home in Christchurch near to the town centre.
The gentlemen we support, who are in their 40's and 70's and have learning disabilities and autism, are happy to have either full or part-time Support Workers. (Various shift patterns available pay rate of £11.50 per hour).
If you are new to Support Work these gentlemen would be happy to see you and Dimensions will provide you with full training.
The gentlemen we support get out and about a lot. They'd like Support Workers who can help them with things such as:
- Planning and going on holiday (one gentleman has just got back from holiday in Somerset)
- Going out bird watching or if in town people watching
- Trips to nature reserves such as Hengistbury Head
- Days by the River Stour taking in all that Christchurch has to offer
- Outings to the beach. Avon Beach is a particular favourite
- Watching comedy and musicals either at the theatre or on the big screen TV in the lounge at home
In addition to this, the gentlemen we support will need assistance with day-to-day tasks which may include (but not be limited to)
- Assistance with finances
- Helping with meals
- General household tasks
- Providing support with personal care
